- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp Schezwan sauce
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp vinegar
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp cornflour
- 1 cup water
- Salt to taste
Equipment
- Wok or a large frying pan
- Knife and chopping board
- Spatula or wooden spoon
Method
- Heat oil in a wok or a large frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Add chopped onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, and chopped green chillies to the wok and sauté for a minute.
- Add chopped carrots and capsicum to the wok and sauté for another minute.
- Add salt to taste and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, mix Schezwan sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, red chilli powder, sugar, cornflour, and water.
- Add the sauce mixture to the wok and mix well.
- Add cooked rice to the wok and mix well with the sauce and vegetables.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes until the rice is heated through and well coated with the sauce.
- Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve hot.
Notes
- You can add any vegetables of your choice to the recipe.
- If you want to make a non-veg version, you can add shredded chicken, prawns, or scrambled eggs to the recipe.
- You can adjust the spice level according to your taste.
