Ingredients

  • 8-10 rice paper wrappers
  • 1 cup cooked rice noodles
  • 1 cup cooked crab meat
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup shredded cucumber
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh mint leaves
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil leaves
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro leaves
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha sauce
  • 1/4 cup water

Equipment

  • Bowl
  • Plate
  • Cutting board
  • Knife
  • Small saucepan

Method

  1. Prepare the dipping sauce by combining soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sriracha sauce, and water in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly until well combined. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
  2. Prepare the rice paper wrappers by filling a large bowl with warm water. Dip each wrapper into the water and let it soak for 10-15 seconds until it becomes soft and pliable. Remove from the water and place on a plate.
  3. Place a small amount of rice noodles, crab meat, shredded carrots, shredded cucumber, fresh mint, basil, and cilantro in the center of each wrapper.
  4. Roll the wrapper tightly, tucking in the sides as you go. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
  5. Serve the rolls with the dipping sauce on the side.

Notes

  • You can substitute the crab meat with shrimp or tofu for a vegetarian option.
  • Make sure to not overfill the wrappers to avoid tearing them.
  • Feel free to adjust the amount of sriracha sauce according to your preference for spiciness.
