Ingredients

Method

  1. Wash the rice and soak it in water for 15-20 minutes.

  7. Add the garam masala powder, red chili powder, and salt to taste. Mix well.
  8. Drain the water from the soaked rice and add it to the pressure cooker or pot.
  9. Add 2 cups of water and mix well.
  10. Cover the pressure cooker or pot with a lid and cook for 2 whistles in a pressure cooker or for 20-25 minutes on low flame in a pot.
  11. Once the pressure is released, open the lid and fluff the rice with a fork.
  12. Serve hot with raita or any side dish of your choice.
