Method

1. In a mixing bowl, combine the glutinous rice flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix well. 2. Slowly add the boiling water to the mixture while stirring continuously with a wooden spoon. 3. Add the vegetable oil and 1/4 cup of water to the mixture. Mix well until a smooth batter is formed. 4. Grease an 8-inch cake pan with vegetable oil and line it with parchment paper. 5. Pour half of the batter into the cake pan. 6. Spread a layer of red bean paste over the batter. 7. Pour the remaining batter over the red bean paste. 8. Place the cake pan into the steaming basket or pot. 9. Steam the cake for approximately 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. 10. Remove the cake from the steaming basket or pot and let it cool completely. 11.
