Method

  1. Wash the rice and soak it in water for 30 minutes.

  4. Drain the water from the rice and add it to the pot with vegetables. Sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add soy sauce, vinegar, salt and water. Bring it to a boil.
  6. Reduce the heat to low and cover the pot with a lid.
  7. Cook for 18-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked.
  8. Turn off the heat and let the rice sit for 5 minutes.
  9. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot.

  • You can add more vegetables like bell peppers, mushrooms or corn to the rice.
  • Adjust the salt and soy sauce according to your taste.
  • You can also use brown rice instead of basmati rice.
