Drain the soaked rice and add it to the pot. Saute for 2-3 minutes until the rice is coated in the spices and oil. 8. Add the water and salt to the pot. Bring the mixture to a boil. 9. Reduce the heat to low and cover the pot. Cook for 20 minutes until the rice is fluffy and tender. 10. Serve hot with your favorite condiments.
