For the chicken:- 1 whole chicken (about 1.5kg)
- 5 slices of ginger
- 5 cloves of garlic
- 1 tbsp of salt
- 1 tbsp of sesame oil
- 2 cups of jasmine rice
- 3 cups of chicken broth

Method
Step 1: Prepare the Chicken
1. Rinse the chicken and remove any giblets or excess fat. 2. In a large pot, add enough water to cover the chicken and bring it to a boil. 3. Add the ginger, garlic, and salt to the pot and lower the heat to a simmer. 4. Carefully lower the chicken into the pot and cover it with a lid. 5. Let the chicken simmer for about 30 minutes or until it is cooked through. 6. Remove the chicken from the pot and transfer it to a bowl of ice water for about 5 minutes.
