- 1 cup of protein (chicken, beef, shrimp)
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons of oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
Equipment
- Wok or large frying pan
- Cooking spoon
- Cutting board
- Knife
- Bowl for marinating protein
Method
- Heat the wok or frying pan over medium-high heat and add the vegetable oil.
- Add the onion and garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the mixed vegetables and protein to the pan and stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until cooked through.
- Push the vegetables and protein to the side of the pan and add the cooked rice to the center.
- Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, salt, and black pepper to the rice and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the rice is heated through and evenly coated with the sauce.
- Combine the vegetables, protein, and rice together in the pan and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through and evenly mixed.
- Transfer the chow fan rice to a serving dish and garnish with chopped green onions or cilantro, if desired.
Notes
