- Soak the chana dal and rice in water for 3-4 hours.
- Drain the water and grind the dal and rice with ginger paste, green chili, salt, and sugar to a smooth batter.

- Grease a steamer plate with oil and pour the batter into it.
- Steam the plate for 15-20 minutes or until the dhokla is cooked.
- Remove the plate from the steamer and let it cool for 5 minutes.
- Cut the dhokla into small squares.
- Heat oil in a small pan and add mustard seeds.
- When the seeds start to splutter, add curry leaves, grated coconut, and lemon juice.
- Pour this mixture over the dhokla squares and garnish with coriander leaves.
